My Suwannee River 1/4 acre
I purchased this 1/4 acre of wooded land on e-bay for $5000,
sight unseen.
It is part of a small development (all wooded with only a few houses built
so far)
located in the middle of the Suwannee River State Park,
and my lot is about a 2 block walk to the river, on SW 76 Way.
Below are some pics, Goggle-Earth images, and links to local info.
The plan is to build a 27' dome on this 1/4 acre parcel, and the link to see
the domes is Here.
The Suwannee River is in north Florida, west of Gainesville, FL,
and my land is north and west of Live Oak, FL.

Red star is me!

This is the river right near me.
In each case below, my lot is designated by the little
red dot :)
I'm starting with the wide view, and moving in to see the close-up.

You can see in this pic, and the ones following, that my
land is just north
of where the Suwannee River and the Withlacoochee River meet.
The Suwannee is the one snaking around to the right of the red dot,
making the border of Hamilton county on its way to its source
in the Okefenokee Swamp in Georgia.

A little closer look, with the border of the State Park in green.

And closer yet. Here, the green trees and outlines show the Park area.

With streets included...

getting closer...

Where I will be living one day
(you can see a couple of other houses - the white dots.)

My very own :)
Now for some local pics...

State Park area

The State Park has a camping area, and a few small camp-cottages.
I will likely stay in one of them while building the dome.
And, yes, I will be building "up" too. My land is in the 10 year
flood plain.

Speaking of floods, this marker shows the record floods
though I don't know what height these really are.
Here's
the link to see the current river levels.
My location is closest to the "Ellaville" marker
on this link.
According to Google Earth, the river is at 30 elevation near me, and my land
is at 49 elevation.
